Periodically I run across an item that I think is really clever.  Ashford looms USED to make great two piece niddy noddys.  Since they have discontinued them, I feel free to revise, modify and improve upon their idea!  I am producing them in three sizes - the 6" sampler size make a skein 24".  The 9" makes a skein 36" and the 12" produces a 48" skein.  All come in two pieces for easy storage and slide together easily.  The designs vary as I am having lots of fun with the finishing!  Here are the three sizes.  Check out the store to purchase.

The three sizes assembled.                                               Small, medium and large unassembled.

The small size is 6" long, making a 24" skein.  The medium makes a 36" skein and the large makes a skein 48".

I have been working with a neighboring woodworker to bring a new line of items of interest to the fiber artist.  Maurice makes the double circle yarn holders sold in my store and he turns the tops for my lamb yarn holders.  He has added the mini yarn swift shown below, which can be placed on any of the yarn holders that have a screw on spindle.  He does great nostepinnes, seam rippers, twin yarn holders and deluxe yarn holders.  All items are C. Cactus Flower approved!  Here is the link to his Etsy site so you may purchase them directly: www.etsy.com/shop/willysman?ref=seller_info

I now have a limited quantity of Snipes Weaving Tools sampler size niddy noddy.  These are made of oak and will fit in your tote bag.  Check in the store under "Equipment."

Here is an additional picture of the Maxi loom in use.
