Need
another idea? How about a mini saddle cinch? Maybe a mini
saddle blanket to go with it? The cinch on the left was woven on a
Maxi loom. A mini loom was used to weave the cinch on the right and
the one with the saddle blanket, which was woven on a Maxi loom.

Mel wove the rug on the left
with hand spun yarn. The weaving on the loom is a Burnham style
rug.

Isn't this a clever way to
use a miniature rug? Mel Silva wove the rug and made the lamp
into a night light.

This great eye dazzler was
woven by Mel Silva. Check below for more of his weavings.
Note: Mel also teaches weaving in the Navajo tradition.

Marilyn Greaves wove this 52" x 72" rug
over a period of 14 months. The wool is 100% Churro.

This delightful wall hanging by Mel Silva was
actually woven on a mini loom. It was then removed from the mini
loom and attached to a handmade frame loom for a "primitive"
look.

Otis, a 13 year old Navajo student, wove this rug on a Maxi
loom with the help of his grandmother.

Marquita, a 17 year old Navajo, wove this as her first
project.

Mel Silva wove the storm pattern and the Teec No Pos style on
a mini loom. He wove the butterfly
pattern on a table loom.

How is this for a unique idea! Philip Harang wove the
front, back, and sides of this bag on a Maxi loom. The bottom and straps
were woven on a mini loom. The trick was getting
everything to match!

Phil also weaves mini rugs. Here is one example.

The following rug is called Two Hands Holding. It was
woven by Marni Harang.

The following is a wedge weave design. Easy to do, but
with striking results.

Soon available - round rugs in mini size! This rug is 6"
in diameter.

This great Burntwater style rug was woven on a C. Cactus Flower
table loom by Mel Silva. The background yarn was hand dyed with walnut
hulls and the rust color was dyed with Eucalyptus leaves. It is 18" x
20".

This cinch was woven by Mel Silva. If you haven't tried
cinch weaving it is fun and a good change-of-pace project!

Birds and flowers blend with traditional geometric designs to
provide balance and harmony in this pictorial woven by Mel Silva.

Close up of a bird from the above rug.

I love exciting stories. Anne Dunham graciously
allowed me to share this story:
"I purchased the loom to weave small tapestries,
not miniature Navajos as you do. However I wanted to enter some of
my handspun churro in the ... County Fair Wool Show. They ask for
a small sample to accompany any handspun entries and I always try to do
a quality job in providing one. It is not easy to make a small
sample from a chunky yarn destined for a rug, but I decided to use your
loom and make a miniature Navajo since a Navajo rug is what I ultimately
plan to use the yarn for ....
Not only did I get a blue ribbon on my churro, which was
challenging to spin and, I thought, not so good, but I also received the
... Award for Excellence in Handspinning. This is a prestigious
award that I never in my wildest dreams ever even aspired to. I
can only think that the sample, which would not have been possible
without your loom, contributed to this. That, along with my
persistence over many years, culminated in this honor.....
